An understated yet quietly luxurious hotel in Margaret River's wine region with excellent amenities and an intimate feel

With just 22 romantically secluded rooms and suites, Cape Lodge has the feel of a boutique private country estate with all the facilities of a top class luxury hotel. Perfectly located at the heart of Margaret River’s wine region, the hotel is nestled in 40 acres of manicured parkland, garden and lakes with its own 8-acre vineyard producing fine Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz exclusively for hotel guests. And with only 40 guests being welcomed at any one time, you’ll feel at home at this intimate and stylish retreat.

Superb dining comes courtesy of a magnificently positioned lake side restaurant ranked 4th in the world for food by Conde Nast Traveller magazine, accompanied by a 14,000 bottle wine cellar. This beautiful hotel couldn’t be more perfect for wine lovers: as well as the hotel’s own vineyard, neighbouring wineries include Vasse Felix, Moss Wood, Pierro and Cullen.

Accommodation

Garden View Rooms are 38sqm in size, overlook gardens and most have a courtyard with outdoor seating. All rooms have king-sized or twin beds and an ensuite with walk-in shower.

Deluxe Garden View Rooms are 55sqm in size and have views over the gardens to the lake. They have king-sized or twin beds and luxury bathrooms with separate walk-in showers and baths.

Lake View Suites range in size from 55-70sqm and are located overlooking the lake, surrounded by well maintained natural landscaping. They all feature king-sized beds and luxury bathrooms with separate spacious walk-in showers and baths with underfloor heating.

The Lodge Suite is a two-room suite with garden and lake views. The main bedroom has a king-sized bed, spacious marble ensuite with a large spa bath and a separate walk-in shower. The second room comprises a comfortable living room with additional ensuite and shower.

We particularly love the Vineyard Residence: a detached cottage sitting privately on its own three-acre plot with views across formal gardens to a private lake and putting green, yet just a short stroll to the facilities of the main lodge. It has three bedrooms including a stunning master suite and all the creature comforts you would expect. An outdoor dining area is equipped with a BBQ and there is also a separate guest house should you require additional space.
