Savile Row Travel

Set on the pristine east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, alongside a golden sandy beach, lapped by gleaming turquoise waters.

Designed to reflect the simple elegance of 17th century Malay palaces, Tanjong Jara Resort is a tranquil resort that offers guests a genuine taste of the region’s spirit and its rich natural heritage with a warmth of service that makes it unique.

The 100 rooms are a serene collection of elegantly crafted wooden buildings, offering traditional luxury accommodation, while the award-winning Spa Village embraces unique and local Malay healing therapies passed down over generations.

Dining at the resort is scenic, exquisite and informal; serving the freshest of ingredients, the two superb restaurants offer either traditional Malaysian cuisine, or delectable seafood and western style dishes. Private dining options are available at several stunning locations across the resort and the chefs there are happy to adapt dishes to your personal tastes.

Explore natural wonders at the resort’s turtle hatchery during the nesting season or with seasonal diving and snorkelling on nearby Tenggol Island, one of Asia’s best kept dive secrets. Discover the rich culture of the Malay heartland with excursions that offer a unique insight into the local way of life, from a market visit with the chef followed by a cooking class to viewing the charms of the sleepy fishing villages on a guided bicycle tour.

During nesting season, generally between April and September, guests may visit the turtle hatchery on site to learn about the conservation efforts in the resort’s exclusive partnership with Lang Tengah Turtle Watch. Due to these ongoing initiatives, some turtles have been returning to nest on the beach in front of the resort. If lucky, guests might see them laying their eggs or witness the hatchlings returning to the sea. There is also a turtle adoption programme that allows guests to protect the turtles long after they have left the resort.

Tanjong Jara Resort offers a wide variety of possible experiences – lazy and languid, energetic and outdoors, indulgent and regenerative, cultural and enlightening – choose whether to fold them into a single visit, or craft each visit differently to meet your needs.

SPA VILLAGE TANJONG JARA

Every breath is pure refreshment, a relaxation of the soul, a pure journey of revival. In Malay they call this Sucimurni. In Malaysia, it is Tanjong Jara.

The philosophy of Sucimurni emphasises the purity of spirit, health, and well-being. The award-winning Spa Village Tanjong Jara is a sanctuary anchored in this ancient Malay way of life.

At the Spa Village Tanjong Jara these long-held health and beauty traditions are revived for you to enjoy. Treat yourself to this rich history, in which unique natural ingredients found in various indigenous herbs and plants are combined with the skills of our skilled Malay therapists to provide a very special health and beauty experience.
