The Concordia Summer Ball, Vienna – September 2021

Dress code: Evening Elegance. This says it all. The summer ball takes place in the state rooms of the Vienna City Hall and in the arcade courtyard. Aida at the Verona Opera Festival – June 2021

2021 is the 150th anniversary of Verdi’s opera Aida. And where better to listen to this this timeless story of love and betrayal than in the outdoor Arena di Verona.

On arrival in Verona, get your bearings with a morning walking tour of the city, taking in the famous Juliet balcony, Piazza delle Erbe and the impressive Arche Scalgiere. In the evening witness a breath-taking performance of Aida by Verdi at the incredible ampitheatre which dates back to the 1st century and is the largest open air theatre in the world.

We’ve included a visit Valpolicella, east of Lake Garda, to explore the beautiful region and try its delicious wines. Enjoy a picnic lunch after a tour of a local winery and take in the fantastic views of Verona and the lake. One of Italy’s finest wine regions, Valpolicella is home to a number of incredible family-owned wineries amongst the delightful villages of the area.

The Nutcracker at The Mikhailovsky Theatre, St Petersburg – December 2021

First performed in 1892 in St Petersburg, The Nutcracker is a Christmas tradition for ballet-lovers. To see it in it’s home city would be a dream come true. St Petersburg is a magical city, unlike any other. Neither European nor Asian, it is simply Russian. That might sound odd, but you’ll know what we mean when you get there.

Steeped in history and heritage, enjoy the finest in Russian luxury, we’ve included a guided city tour taking you to the the Faberge Museum, the State Hermitage Museum and St Issac’s Cathedral. Described as the Venice of the North, perhaps take a boat trip along the waterways to see this beautiful city from a different perspective.
