Accommodation

Eight Split-Level Suites, four Classic Suites, and three Family Suites accommodating up to 30 guests are situated beside the gracious Arrival Pavilion and around the estate’s two Living Salas – Villa Monara (meaning Peacock) and Villa Divia (meaning Leopard). With design inspired by Tropical Modernism, each suite effortlessly connects indoors to out, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors inviting sea breezes within.

Split Level Suite

Set over two levels to make the most of stunning ocean or garden views, each Split-Level Suite offers a large private terrace with twin daybeds for alfresco relaxation. Four of the eight suites feature their own private plunge pools. Beneath vaulted woven-bamboo ceilings, the king-size bed is complemented by an open plan sitting area, while the large bathroom features twin basins, a striking circular bath, and a rain shower. A seamless ramp addition makes these Suites suitable for guests with accessibility needs.

Classic Suite

Opening onto a private terrace with twin daybeds overlooking the Indian Ocean or resort gardens, each Classic Suite is a contemporary sanctuary. Dressed in crisp white linen, the king-size bed rests on terrazzo floors, while the open plan sitting area leads to a private plunge pool in three of the four suites. Two Classic Suites connect with two Family Suites via a shared entrance, while the other two interconnect, allowing for flexible family sleeping arrangements.

Family Suite

Claiming immersive green views, each Family Suite offers twin beds or a king-size bed and features an open-plan sitting area and a spacious ensuite bathroom. Two of the three Family Suites are positioned close to Classic Suites as they share an entrance, making them ideal for those with younger family members. All three Family Suites offer garden courtyards inviting tranquil reflection.

Dining

Focused on creating beautiful settings in which to savour exquisite cuisine, ÀNI’s dining philosophy ensures that every meal is an unforgettable, full sensory experience – a new memory in the making. Designed exclusively around your personal tastes and preferences, at ÀNI Sri Lanka, our private chefs curate breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus daily that draw on the island’s incredible culinary heritage and the natural bounty it offers, while also showcasing global cuisines. In-between treats range from freshly baked cakes to home-churned ice-cream; free-flow beverages are always on hand with our all-day pool butler service; and traditional afternoon teas celebrate the leaves of Ceylon, as the island was once known, with tea tastings and local snacks.

Menus from around the world

From breakfast hoppers with fragrant sambols to kottu roti, silky pickled eggplant, and comforting parippu dhal, Sri Lanka’s incredible range of dishes add spice and authenticity to our international culinary offering. Other Asian cuisines, including Indian, Chinese, and Japanese, transport you to distant lands and back again. Inspired by the culinary centres of the western world, Italian classics, fine French fare, American bistro favourites, and plenty the more satisfy and delight every palate.

Dining Locations

Every meal at ÀNI Sri Lanka is a unique occasion, with its own bespoke menu, décor, set up and location. Villa Monara and Villa Divia both offer an air-conditioned dining area with an interactive show kitchen, as well as an expansive terrace for dining poolside. Multiple open-air salas are scattered across the property for dining with incomparable Indian Ocean views.  Picnics in the landscaped gardens, sundowners on the beach, and even in-pool dining with tables and chairs set in the shallows, are easily arranged and never forgotten.

Chef Cyril – Your Private Chef

Chef Cyril Human joined the ÀNI Sri Lanka opening team in 2016, drawing on his wealth of international experience to mastermind this unique private resort’s extraordinary culinary offering. Constantly requested to share his classic Sri Lankan and Indian curry recipes, Chef Cyril is also a master of European and Asian fine dining, leaving no ingredient unexplored in his desire to create culinary magic.

“Guests are always intrigued by healthy local dishes such as kola kandha – a leaf porridge that contains locally grown Ayurvedic herbs. I also like to substitute local ingredients for international standards to impart a subtle sense of place, for example using our red thampala leaves to replace radicchio. Unique flavours specific to the island add an unforgettable new twist to beloved international favourites. For me, food is art and I love experimenting with different presentations and menus from around the world. Our guests are very special, so it is never simply about serving a meal. I want every meal to be an unforgettable experience.”

Dietary Requirements

We can accommodate whatever dietary requirements you and your group may have. With the facilities and expertise to serve Halal and Kosher cuisines, our imaginative and innovative culinary team can also produce exceptional vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free fare. Personal preferences are always taken into account – with no like or dislike too small to be remembered.

Wellness & Facilities

Wellness

ÀNI’s wellness philosophy is one of simple truth, that wellbeing stems not from striving, but through balance in all things. This is very much in line with the principles of Ayurveda, India and Sri Lanka’s ancient healing system meaning ‘the science of life’. Incorporating Ayurvedic treatments and culinary lore, ÀNI Sri Lanka’s wellness offering encompasses movement, relaxation, nutrition, and nature’s life-giving presence, gifting a true sense of life-enhancing equilibrium.

Movement

Swim in our two 25-metre sparkling pools, practice yoga or Pilates in our tranquil gardens or the Meditation Pavilion, improve your serve with daily tennis lessons, or play beach volleyball to work up a fun-induced sweat. Whether you’re after mindful movement or joyful exercise, our comprehensive fitness offering radiates from our fully equipped and air-conditioned, glass-fronted gym, where a personal trainer awaits to take care of your every movement need.

Relaxation

Enjoy up to 15 spa treatments a day in our peaceful double spa treatment suite, where the healing hands of our therapists work their soothing magic. Surrender to an Ayurvedic, sports, reflexology, or head massage and feel its benefits for the rest of your day – and night. Relaxation is not exclusive to the spa, however. ÀNI Sri Lanka’s entire design promotes unwinding, whether you do so on a sun lounger by the pool or strolling along the beach at sunrise or sunset.

Nature

Cloaked in a rhapsody of greens with a white smile of sand stretching as far as the eye can see, ÀNI Sri Lanka’s natural setting on the shores of the Indian Ocean offers solace and healing in just one glimpse. To stay and absorb this beauty day after day is as beneficial to your holistic wellbeing as breathing the ocean-scented air.

Beyond ANÍ

Between the picturesque market towns of Dickwella to the east and Tallala to the west, just an hour’s drive from UNESCO-protected Galle Fort and two hours from a clutch of national parks, ÀNI Sri Lanka is perfectly placed for exploring the south coast’s natural, cultural, and historic treasures. Our local team takes great pride and pleasure in sharing the region’s many highlights, seamlessly arranging any possible excursion or experience outside of ÀNI’s guest privileges.

Offshore Adventures

The inviting waters of the Indian Ocean can be explored in so many different ways. Book private surfing lessons with our local pro, or cruise the coastline in a private catamaran on a blue whale- and dolphin-sighting expedition. Deep sea fishing and scuba diving provide adrenaline-fuelled open-water fun for the more adventurous, while the whole family will enjoy releasing turtle hatchlings from a local hatchery.

On Safari

ÀNI Sri Lanka is ideally positioned for exploring the region’s legendary wildlife reserves. Bundala National Park is renowned for its birdwatching, while Udawalawe National Park is home to an elephant orphanage, where you can sponsor an orphaned baby elephant. Yala National Park for famous for its leopards, boasting the highest density of these elusive big cats in the wild worldwide.

Back in Time

Wander the lanes of Galle Fort, a living museum and UNESCO World Heritage Site, discovering its picturesque Dutch and British colonial architecture and immersing yourself in the daily lives of its residents. Browse the Fort’s most interesting boutiques and jewellery stores, hear stories of its most famous landmarks from your local guide, and stroll the ramparts to the lighthouse, watching as children fly their kites above the azure sea.
