From making your first turns on the freshly groomed slopes at sunrise, to exploring what happens behind the scenes at the legendary Davos Congress Centre, to discovering untouched landscapes on a snowshoe hike, to building an igloo… The choice is as wide as the environment.
The Rinerhorn is a hidden gem for families and night-time winter sports. Kids can slide in the enchanted forest, while beginners and recreational skiers can perfect their carving on the mostly blue and red runs.
Freeriders will enjoy the deep powder of the black run in Leidbachtal. At night, the 3.5 km long toboggan run or the illuminated ski run down to the valley guarantee even greater thrills.
Skating has a long tradition in Davos. With its 4,500 m2 of ice, the Eistraum Davos is the largest mobile artificial ice rink in Switzerland ideal for figure skating, curling, speed skating or ice hockey. The latter is omnipresent in Davos. The Hockey Club Davos (HCD), the reigning Swiss champion, has largely contributed to this, as has the Spengler Cup, which has made Davos the European centre of ice hockey.
The interior features a harmonious blend of authentic Alpine design elements and contemporary sophistication. A cosy hideaway covering 62 m², the Alpine Executive Suites include a large bedroom combined with a lounge area offering beautiful and relaxing views over Davos and the surrounding Alpine scenery, thanks to large, floor-to-ceiling windows. Lean back in your canvas chair on the private terrace and peacefully watch the sun going down behind snow-covered mountain peaks.
91 m² of Alpine heaven! On entering your private refuge, you are welcomed by the woody scent of the entrance area which is fully panelled in mountain pine. From the spacious bedroom with its large, ensuite dressing room, to the separate lounge and dining area, every detail lends the suite a unique atmosphere of Alpine chic. The spacious bathroom features a rainforest shower as well as a free-standing bathtub. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer you a calming view of the surrounding forest while you take a relaxing bubble bath. All suites have a private terrace with a 180° panoramic view of Davos.
Spread over 160 m², the Presidential Suite boasts luxurious Alpine warmth delicately blended with cosmopolitan design and Swiss flair. A dark wooden double door opens up to a bright, grand foyer which is the oval centre of the suite. A superbly appointed grand living room with an open artificial fireplace, elegant work space and a separate dining room seating up to 8 people, forms the ideal gathering place for private or formal get-togethers, fit to accommodate the global elite during the World Economic Forum. The sumptuous master bedroom features state-of-the-art technical equipment, a walk-in dressing room and a luxurious adjacent bathroom – equipped with a large, free-standing bath, private sauna, walk-in rain shower, and a television screen built into the wall. The wide terrace goes all around the suite offering magnificent views of Davos, the Alps and the nearby lake. Dining at the Alpen Gold
Designed for a light lunch, a sophisticated afternoon tea or a nightcap, this lounge bar’s floor-to-ceiling windows create a smooth transition to the bar’s outdoor terrace, where you can spend cozy hours enjoying the majestic mountain scenery even in winter. Inside the bar, the dark wood paneling is reminiscent of the shingles traditionally used as roofing for the region’s chalets.
Featuring an open show kitchen, the Ristorante offers guests the exciting opportunity to observe the daily hustle and bustle of a hotel kitchen. Delve into the world of sapori – Italian aromas. Fresh spices, cold-pressed oils and ingredients duly selected for their freshness and taste conspire to create dishes that transport you directly to nearby Italy. Bruschette vari gusti, veal escalope in a lime sauce, freshly caught seafood and fish along with classic pasta dishes pay a refined tribute to Italian cuisine, while the menu also includes a whole host of culinary pleasures for vegetarians and vegans.
Alongside the traditional fondue or raclette, the menu dares to offer offbeat local specialties served as modern and ultra-gourmet dishes. The cheeses are local, grand cru varieties that are given a special twist according to the recipe. The meats are carefully selected; the mountain potatoes of the Albulatal variety are exclusive to the AlpenGold Hotel; and everything is subtly seasoned with spices from the surrounding mountain pastures. Why resist, since you need plenty of energy to hit the slopes?
Dinner at the Top! La Muña’s cuisine tickles the taste buds. An ultra-fresh approach reigns supreme. Ingredients are combined on the fly, whether raw or marinated. Generally hard to find in Europe, the produce is carefully sourced. Dishes featuring a combination of tender or crunchy textures and subtle tangy flavours are served as soon as they emerge from the resolutely live cooking process – ready to be shared as the fancy takes you. The must-tastes? Ceviche red tuna with sesame or sea bass and black truffle; Black Cod marinated in saikyo miso; crispy Shakes combining melt-in-your mouth sensation of a tartare with the crispness of rice.
Le Fumoir is dedicated to friends of the finest tobacco. A wide selection of top Cuban cigars, including some rare Cohibas, is complemented by selected cigars from Latin American regions. Here the connoisseur can indulge his passion undisturbed. In the daring ambience, we are happy to serve you well-ripened brandies and distilled fermentations to round off the pleasure. The meeting place for like-minded people who want to celebrate a hand-rolled cigar as an expression of lifestyle in peace and quiet.
Spa - A space for calm and relaxation
Take some time to soothe your soul, regenerate your body, slow down your pace and absorb the power of Davos and its magnificent mountainous surroundings.
Our Spa Nescens covers an area of 1,200 m2 and boasts a heated indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a fitness studio and a yoga room. There are two separate wellness complexes for men and women, each with a sauna and steam bath. There is also a shared sauna and a sanarium. A total of fourteen rooms are available for our treatments, including two Spa Nescens suites for the pleasure of wellness as a couple. The Alpine Spa suites are equipped with a private sauna, steam room and whirlpool.
