Between lush rainforest and the dramatic volcanic peaks of the island’s southwest coast
Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort is not just a place to stay in St. Lucia. It feels more like it has been carved directly into the landscape between the island’s most iconic natural landmarks.
Set in a hidden bay between the towering Gros Piton and Petit Piton, the resort sits on what was once an 18th-century sugar plantation, and that history still echoes subtly in its name and layout. Instead of overwhelming the view, the architecture disappears into it. Whitewashed villas are tucked into rainforest slopes, private plunge pools overlook the Caribbean, and paths wind down toward a calm, pale-sand beach.
Sugar Mill Rooms
The entry-level option, but still private and upscale. These rooms are set in a garden-style setting near the resort center and often include small terraces or courtyards. Some upgraded versions add plunge pools or rooftop spaces.
Luxury Cottages
Larger than the Sugar Mill Rooms, these feel more residential. They typically include separate sleeping and living areas, outdoor terraces, and plunge pools. They work well for couples or small families wanting more space.
Luxury Villas
A step up in size and privacy. These are spread across the hillside or closer to the beach and often feature expansive terraces, multiple rooms, and sweeping views of the Pitons, rainforest, or ocean. Many include kitchens and large private pools.
Luxury Beachfront Bungalows
Located directly on the sand, these offer the most immediate beach access. You step out from your terrace almost straight onto the beach, with the sea right in front of you. They are especially popular for couples.
Residences and Private Homes
The most exclusive option. These multi-bedroom homes are designed for families or groups and include large living spaces, full kitchens, private pools, and high-end service such as butlers or private chefs in some setups.
