Experiences

The V&A Waterfront

The V&A Waterfront is a lively hub of world-class eateries and designer shops, talented street performers, family-friendly activities, and authentic arts & crafts from the Cape, all gathered together on the historic working harbour in the shadow of Table Mountain. The food scene at the V&A Waterfront covers everything from global street food to cleverly crafted gourmet plates, and seafood fresh from the ocean. Eating out in Cape Town is a feast for all the senses, combined with music, energy, and ambience. Favourites include Pier – a fine dining experience at the water’s edge; the Portuguese-inspired Baja; Harbour House; Willoughby & Co; La Parada; and The Waterside.

The Ocean

Cape Town is a city for adventure-seekers, and the beauty of it is that you’re able to explore nature right from the city. Both ocean and mountain are on your doorstep when you stay at The Silo Hotel, and the V&A Waterfront is the centre of it all. Cape Town’s summer weather invites you to play outdoors, and one of the best ways to do that is on the sea. Dolphins, seals, and whales can be spotted in the bay, and if you’re out on a guided excursion or a catamaran cruise, you’ll be first in line to see them. Enjoy a sunset cruise or hire a stand-up paddle board for a self-guided voyage around the harbour, or book an open water adventure in a kayak and get a different perspective on the city on the shore.

The Silo Spa

An oasis of peace and relaxation offering a regenerative journey towards enhanced wellbeing. Benefit from the latest therapies, spa techniques, and signature treatments which can be personalised to meet your specific wellness requirements. The Silo Spa also has a double-treatment room, gym, sauna and a dedicated manicure and pedicure area. Expert therapists use top local and international products including Ling and Black Pearl, ensuring that you receive the perfect treatment for your individual skin type and requirements with an interactive consultation process.
