Browse Bangkok’s floating markets for unusual food

Thailand, an exotic oasis known for its tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples, is the home of one of our favourite cuisines.
With direct flights from London to Bangkok, you’ll be wandering around this buzzing city in no time. Spend a few nights in the capital, exploring the city and its magnificent temples, bazaars and scenery. Visit the Royal Grand Palace, the nation’s landmark and most praised royal monument in Thailand and Wat Pho, with its beautiful mural paintings, inscriptions and statues. Relax into a quick Thai massage, before hopping on a river boat along the Chao Phya River to the Temple of Dawn and the flower and vegetable market.
Head out to experience some of the largest floating markets just outside of the city (well worth the short journey) and snap iconic photos from the bridge above the canal. The market is bustling with activity from very early morning until about 11am, where you can shop for souvenirs, indulge in fresh fruit, or simply take in the energy of it all.
You’ll be able to sample traditional pad Thai noodles, red and green Thai curry, spicy lemongrass salad, deep fried spring rolls and mango sticky rice, along with lots more! Just make sure you go with an empty stomach because you won’t want to miss out on any of these creations!
